COURSE RATING - Scottish Golf seeking new volunteers to undertake National Golf Course Raters duties

Scottish Golf, the governing body of the amateur game, is seeking willing volunteers to join their team of national golf Course Raters.

As part of a fully trained team, Course Raters walk golf courses assessing the difficulty of each hole in line with the USGA Course Rating Framework which ensures consistency in the measurement of each course’s difficulty.
Course Raters play a critical role in establishing the Standard Scratch Score (SSS) which is used as the basis for the handicapping system and a key benefit of being a golf club member in Scotland.
Volunteers for these roles will benefit from a variety of benefits including:
·         Training in a recognised course rating accreditation programme

·         Be provided equipment and uniform

·         Get the chance to play new golf courses

·         Various additional benefits and giving something back to the game
