AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE - Rowallan Castle claim final spot alongside Ayr Dalmilling.

The inaugural final of the Ayrshire Handicap League Championship, which takes place at Loudoun Gowf Club on Sunday 3rd September, will be between Rowallan Castle GC and Ayr Dalmilling GC.

Rowallan Castle went into the second leg of their semi final with Ballochmyle at the weekend on the back of a 3 - 3 draw away to Ballochmyle in the first leg.

In the lead match Grant Wilson lost out on the final green to Declan Chalmers, but the home side took 4.5 of a possible 5 points over the remaining ties to run out winners on the day by 4.5 - 1.5 and take them into the final with a 7.5 - 4.5 aggregate win over the Ballochmyle side.

Ruari McMillan beat John Murdoch by 3 & 2
Graham Gardiner beat John McNair by 2 & 1
Stewart Brown halved with Billy Hamilton
Andrew Macleod beat Ian Ramsay by 4 & 3
Graeme Telfer beat Barry Neil by 5 & 3
In the other semi final, Ayr Dalmilling had a 6 - 0 lead after the home leg and a 3 - 3 draw away from home against Auchenharvie 88 gave the Ayr side a 9 - 3 aggregate win.

The final is scheduled to tee off at Loudoun on Sunday 3rd September at 2.00 p.m.
