AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Finals set for Troon Darley

The first two finals of the major Ayrshire Junior Golf League competitions take place on Sunday 10th September, when the Wallace Thornton Trophy and the Under 16 Knockout Trophy finals are played at Troon Darley, teeing off from 10.30 a.m.

In the Wallace Thornton Trophy final, Kilmarnock (Barassie) will play Turnberry.

Kilmanrock (Barassie) reached the final after a closely fought semi final against Troon Welbeck, where both the home and away legs finished 2 - 2 and Kilmarnock (Barassie) won through on a sudden death play off.

Turnberry defeated irvine 4 - 0 in the first leg of their semi final match and a 3 - 1 win in the second leg saw them comfortably into the final.

In the Under 16 Knockout Trophy Final, Troon Welbeck will play Prestwick St Cuthbert.

In the semi finals, both Welbeck and St. Cuthbert had home draws, with both running out winners by 3 - 1 against West Kilbride and Kilmarnock (Barassie) respectively.

The following sunday, 17th September, the finals of the Champion Of Champions Trophy and the Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship will be played, again over the Troon Darley course.
